About the Authors

Pamela D. Blair is a retired, holistically-trained psychotherapist, life coach and motivational speaker. She is the author of The Next 50 Years, Getting Older Better, and co-author of the award winning classic on grief entitled, I Wasn’t Ready to Say Goodbye and the recently released, The Long Grief Journey both published by Sourcebooks/Penguin Random House. She has appeared on national TV, been interviewed for numerous podcasts and radio programs, and has given workshops on various topics around the U.S. She is working on her first novel and living in Shelburne, VT with her husband and two cats.

Bradie McCabe Hansen wears a few different professional hats. She is a psychologist-master and maintains a private practice in the beautiful state of Vermont. She also helps to manage the fiber studio at the Shelburne Craft School where she teaches tapestry and rigid heddle weaving, as well as the Weaving Your Story programs. Bradie has been able to join her love of psychology and fiber art in a way that has been life changing. “Taking time to create a piece of art that contains textures, colors, symbols and artifacts and reflects what we have loved and lost helps us to metabolize our experience of grief through the body. It’s another pathway to healing.” Bradie also is a writer and is proud to have been a co-author with Pamela Blair on The Long Grief Journey. You can find Bradie busying herself with any and all of these pursuits while living in Vermont with her husband, two children, two cats and a dog.
